Code of Conduct

At BorgLabs, we want to foster a welcoming, safe, and inclusive gaming and developer community across all of our social media channels, Discord servers, Steam community hubs, and online spaces.

By participating in any BorgLabs community space, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct. We expect our community members to treat one another with respect and empathy.

Our Standards​

We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, race, or religion. Examples of behavior that contribute to a positive environment include:

  • Using welcoming and inclusive language: Be respectful of different viewpoints and experiences.
  • Being respectful in disagreement: Constructive criticism is welcome, but personal attacks and hostility are not.
  • Gracefully accepting constructive feedback: Focus on what is best for the community and learn from mistakes.
  • Empathy towards other community members: Remember that there are real people behind the screens.

Unacceptable Behavior​

The following behaviors are considered harassment and are strictly prohibited in any BorgLabs space:

  • Hate Speech & Slurs: Language that promotes discrimination, hatred, violence, or harm against any individual or group based on protected characteristics.
  • Harassment & Bullying: Personal attacks, targeted intimidation, stalking, or continuous unwanted contact.
  • NSFW Content: Sharing sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content, imagery, or links.
  • Spam & Self-Promotion: Unsolicited advertising, referral links, excessive self-promotion, or spamming chat channels and Steam forums.
  • Trolling & Disruptive Behavior: Deliberately starting arguments, provoking users, or disrupting discussions.
  • Doxxing: Sharing private personal information about other members without their explicit consent.

Enforcement & Reporting​

BorgLabs moderators and administrators are responsible for maintaining these standards. They reserve the right to remove, edit, or reject comments, posts, contributions, or media that are not aligned with this Code of Conduct, or to ban temporarily or permanently any community member for inappropriate behavior.
